How do I add a vehicle? +

From the home screen, tap the "+" button. Enter the make, model, year, color, current mileage, and (optionally) VIN and license plate. Free Plan supports up to 3 vehicles; the Family Plan is unlimited.

How does the AI document scan work? +

Open a vehicle, tap Documents, then "Add Document". Take a clear photo of an insurance card, registration, or inspection sticker. Within a few seconds, the AI extracts the dates, policy/plate number, insurer, and other key fields. Every field is editable in case anything is misread.

How do I cancel my subscription? +

Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so cancellation happens in their settings:

iPhone / iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Dad's Fleet → Cancel Subscription.

Android: Play Store → tap profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Dad's Fleet → Cancel.

You'll keep Family features until the current billing period ends.

How do I add my spouse / teen / mechanic to my fleet? +

Open the Users screen and tap "Generate Invite Code". Send the 10-character code to whomever you want to add. They sign up with their own email/Apple/Google account, enter the code on registration, and immediately see your shared fleet.

How do I delete my account and data? +

Settings → Account → Delete Account. This wipes your profile, all vehicles, maintenance, documents, and reminders permanently. The action is irreversible — export anything you want to keep first.

I'm not receiving push notifications. Why? +

Push notifications require the Family Plan. If you're on the Free Plan, you'll see reminders inside the app but won't get a notification on your lock screen. If you're on the Family Plan and still not getting them, check Settings → Notifications → Dad's Fleet on your device, and make sure notifications are allowed.

The AI got a date wrong on my insurance scan. How do I fix it? +

Tap the document, edit any field, save. The associated reminder updates automatically. The AI is very accurate but not perfect — please email us a screenshot if you see a misread on a common document type so we can improve the model.

What does Dad's Fleet do with my data? +

Your data is stored in Google Firebase, encrypted in transit and at rest, scoped to your account and project. We don't sell or share it. AI scans run on Google Vertex AI; the photo is processed and the extracted text is returned — Google does not retain it for training. Full details: Privacy Policy.

Does Dad's Fleet work offline? +

Reading existing data works offline (Firestore caches recent reads). Adding new vehicles, AI scans, and maintenance entries requires a connection — they queue up and sync when you're back online.
